berlin! berlin! berlin!

i'm going to berlin, germany in just... 21 days! i'm so, so excited. i can't wait for bike tours to potsdam and walks along the river fronts and gallery hopping in east berlin and 1 beers and currywursts.

have you ever been? do you have any recommendations for things to do and see that i might not find in a tour guide?

  1. I went to Berlin a couple of years ago and it was so good.

I went to this weird Bar called the Klo Bar (slang for toilet in German) and it was so odd. Google it to see what I mean. And the Holocaust Monument was very moving and beautiful

  4. The Deutsche Kinemathek is an amazing museum, I'm sure you'll love it. The sections devoted to "The Cabinet of Dr Caligari" by R. Wiene and to Marlene Dietrich are to die for. The setting (the super-modern Sony Center in Potsdamer Platz) is amazing as well.

  5. Hey Nicolette! I'm insanely jealous. I'm going to ask Robert about some places. How long will you be staying?

  6. Hi Peter! We really need to sit for coffee soon.

I'm heading east on March 17, and I'll be in Berlin from the 18th until the 23rd. I would love any suggestions you can get from Robert, especially if they're design/fashion specific.

  7. Hi!
I'm from Germansville & been to Berlin a couple times. Kreuzberg, Prenzlauer Berg, Charlottenburg are great areas. There's a CupCakeBerlin in Friedrichshain, which is really cute for coffee & cake!
I also love love love the vintage flea markets for books, vinyl & little treasures! ;)
