the little things

little bits of cheer in an otherwise stressful week:

the view from the gallery on the top floor of my office building in rockefeller center

deborah lippman's "happy birthday" nail polish

mac cremesheen. the grey-blue tube has a mostly clear, but slightly milky tint

unmentionables via agent provocateur. the gift wrapping alone makes it an indulgence.

the flipbook that came along with the agent provocateur lovelies; playful & alluring.

lunch with friends at five napkin burger

driving in the backseat across the fifty-ninth street bridge

nouvelle vague and vamp; one for today, one for fall.

lunch at jean georges. incredible.

the goat cheese gnocci at jean george, with garlic, artichokes, and olive oil. incredible!

from france to new york- just a few adorable charms

  12. I love your pictures, the first one takes my breath away...wow! (I'm kinda afraid of hights!)

You need to let us know where you got the Laduree charm from! ;)

What kind of colour is Chanel's "Vamp"? You can't really get it over here...I've got the Paradoxal yesterday and I am a little disappointed...like the Vendetta much more...

Loving the Nouvelle Vague, wasn't able to get it over here...

    Always love reading your posts!

  15. THANK YOU all for your sweet words!!!

for those wondering about the Laduree charms - they're available both directly from Laduree or online from Colette (http://www.colette.fr)

Anonymous - I am trying to post more frequently. I promise! It's very hard when you're juggling dozens of projects :)

S* - Vamp is a very deep blood-red, almost a burgundy. It's gorgeous and perfect for the colder parts of the year. I got paradoxical as well, I think it's going to grow on me... We'll see!

  16. Loooove every single picture. You are an amazing photographer(surprizing as that wasn't even your major) but you definitely have the eye for it and an amazing taste. Rockefeller center will probably miss you soon.

  17. nouvelle vague is one of my current faves. i suppose it's almost time to let it go for fall, but it won't be easy!!!

  18. hi nicolette..what is the quality of the macaron keychain? since you always seem to post/have highquality items..is it worth getting? i saw it at colette but shipping to the us is almost half the item price! let me know..please! also, i adore your blog. i always look forward to your posts..they are very different from everybody elses..and that's a terrific thing! love from berlin xo.

  19. Hey Aurelien! Thanks so much for your sweet comment! I miss Berlin... sigh. The quality of the keychain/charms are pretty great, but honestly I don't think it's worth spending that amount on shipping unless you're also purchasing other things from Colette. You may want to call one of the Laduree boutiques to see if they can ship it to you directly, though I don't know if this is something they do!

  23. Love these photos!

The Paulette macarons were good in flavor, but the texture was a little too cakeish and soft for me. I like more crunch!
