A Very Grey Day

Autumn hit us overnight here in New York, something that seems to be consistent but surprises me every single year. The dramatic weather change has been quite welcomed, though, because I've had the chance to reach deep into my closet for some of cold(er) weather favorites and also put some new instant favorites into rotation!

Grey Cobweb Sweater - ASOS, Black Tunic (under sweater) - Alexander Wang T, Jeans - ASOS Curve, PVC Rocco Bag - Alexander Wang, Shoes - Deena & Ozzy

Black Military Cape - ASOS (Available here)

PVC Studded Rocco Bag - Alexander Wang

Rings and Bracelets from: Miu Miu, Chanel, Tarina Tarantino, Tiffany & Co, David Yurman, Williamsburg Artists & Fleas Market; Light Grey Nail Polish - RGB Cosmetics, Glitter Nail Polish - Anna Sui

Black "Pony Hair" Heels - Deena & Ozzy from Urban Outfitters

The grey weather was the perfect excuse to make a stop at Egg, a great café in my neighborhood for fresh, organic comfort food. After brunch, I took a little stroll around the neighborhood. Fresh flowers outside bodegas are an instant pick-me-up when the weather is gloomy.

  22. I'm sorry I'm a little late to reply to your nice comment, but yes, it was so nice meeting you, even for a second. Apologies for the greasy hands, I was so embarrassed, I was caught off guard.

Your blog is pure eye candy at it's best. Seriously. I love your photos.

  23. Oh my god I'm overwhelmed by all your sweet comments!!!

Tara: Thank you so much! It's all in the lens, I swear.

Mary: Thank you! I think they're actually a bit baggy (they stretch out really quickly) but they're SO comfortable!

Gabi: WE NEED TO GET DRINKS SO BADLY. NOW. YESTERDAY. TOMORROW. I'm dragging you out next Wednesday, I swear.

    Fat Aus: Thank you!!!

Sarah: EVERYONE NEEDS A CAPE. EVERYONE NEEDS THIS CAPE. Honestly, though, it will probably go on sale. Like everything on ASOS. When will I learn?!

Mich: AHHH. This was a redo. It was much, much, much better when you saw it in person over the weekend ;)

    Sanouchka: Thank you!!

Anika: It's worth a try! I've had some luck with Levi's and ASOS Curve jeans.

Stu: Thank you!! I'm not a photographer by trade, but it's always been a hobby and one that I had encouraged by my parents at a young age.

Azede: Thanks so much! I think Cheap Monday has a nearly identical version now, if you're in the market for something similar!

    Sam: Thank you!!

SymbioticLife: Thanks! Everyone should feel confident in their own skin.

Jessica: Thank you! I do too!

Eli: We've had tons of rain recently, even a legitimate tornado (which I missed!) It's crazy how quickly the weather turns, but seriously, good riddance to NYC's signature humidity. I can live without that! They came out with the PVC Rocco over the summer, and I snagged one up on the A Wang website once it went to super-sale :)

Laura: Thanks so much. I try to bring a little bit of a different perspective of NYC. I have so much love for Brooklyn and I want to share it. I hope you get to visit NYC soon!

Dee: Thank you!! You're so sweet! I can't believe they still have it on the site?? I bought this over a year ago! I love when things stay current, though, so no complaints...

    Rhapsody: YOU DO!

    Alissa: Thank you so much!

Cid: Thank you!! I'll probably bring the cape home with me to LA for Thanksgiving, hopefully it gets cold enough!

    ARA: Thank you!

She Wears: They're great! I love the new colorways they've been making, too.

Kari: Thanks so much! Their hash browns are great, so true.

Ron: Thanks! Issey Miyake is a genius :)

    Jeniese: Thank you!!

Diana: No worries! I hope to run into you next time I'm in LA... And thank you for the sweet compliments :)

Superqueen: They're super comfortable!!! The heel isn't all that high, really, so I can walk with them on for quite a distance :)
