I'm not even going to lie - there's a part of me that, sometimes, really wants to be able to pull of some incarnation of preppy, but I'm just not very capable of pulling off
wasp. Except, maybe I have found a way? And maybe that way is via the
Paula Gerbase designed Fall Winter collection from Woolrich? The presentation for the FW11 collection, held at Eyebeam Studios in Chelsea, was in a dark, almost sultry space - with an ethereal, almost-holographic screen splitting the room in half.
Woolrich has a really incredible heritage, and I think Gerbase's direction definitely honors the brand's classic American history, with contemporary twists and embellishments that take this look out of the country club. It's just dark enough that I can see myself wearing a
lot of it.
Great photos!!!
ReplyDeleteThere are some items in the photos that I really want to myself. amazing collection, especially the bags.
These are such great photos! And I was carrying a backpack like that around London during LFW!
ReplyDeleteit’s not my cup of thee, but I love the atmosphere and the vibe that they created. The rich fabrics are too rich for me. Although I love an English twist. I adore the knitted sweaters, the patterns look fabulous. The coats look very timeless and stylish, and not to heavy. Thanks for your five leaves tip!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, I can DEFINITELY see you pulling all of those off!
ReplyDeleteUh, i really like the fur pieces and the bag.
ReplyDeleteI really want to get the classic black parka from Woolrich next Winter- it's such a classic piece!
