Gift Guide: Jetsetter!

I've started hearing Christmas music in stores around New York, Starbucks is serving Grande Triple Peppermint Mochas in their famous ornament-laden red cups, and the first snow fall came shockingly early over a week ago. Before we know it, we'll be tripping over wrapping paper, twinkle lights, and rolling our eyes at the I-Can't-Believe-I'm-Hearing-This-Again sounds of Mariah Carey's All I Want For Christmas Is You, (or perhaps more apropos, Justin Bieber's Misteltoe). As someone who travels internationally a LOT, I really really need to pony up and buy a universal voltage flat iron (and travel blowdryer!) as my current plan of me just buying a new cheapie in every country is resulting in me carrying a lot of unnecessary electronics in my bag and mislocation freakouts when I can't find the one I need two hours before time to go.

  4. yep the countdown has started, halloween is over and i think that is the official start of the holiday season! don't mind the countdown because it means we are coming!!!! you could make a topic about what we europeans need to pack when we are coming to nyc during the holidays! the ultimate lifestyle guide for tourists (PS i am not your typical tourist and i don't like sightseeing ;))

  7. Cool list.  i esp like the leopard passport holder.  it will make all the TSA guys jelous.

    random question from your inclusion of the flat iron: do you have any recc's for a curling iron? the one i've got is the one that (literally) my mother has been using since the early 90's and is a total nightmare and now that i finally! have girl hair! that is blonde! i've been hunting everywhere for a great one.

  13. I love Mariah Carey too!! Nothing unfashionable about it. But, by the time the third week of December rolls around, it definitely makes me a bit stabby.... Repetition can do a thing or two to a girl.

    I'll see if I can wrap my head around the country girl topic! Being a city girl myself, it's completely foreign to me!
