freezing just yesterday - and it's JUNE! So, I was lucky to get some sunshine last week when hanging out with my friend and talented photographer
Lydia Hudgens.
Anyways, I recently did a story on shorts for Marie Claire, and thought I'd put my money where my mouth is and show you all how I'm wearing mine lately. Shorts are intimidating for tons of people, and even though I'm pretty fearless with fashion, I'm no exception when it comes to britches! I decided to wear my jean shorts (which otherwise make me feel very "never nude" a la Tobias Funke,) with super feminine touches. And yes, even a pair of (shockingly comfortable & walkable) heels.

i love shorts like that because they are not too short! don't like those tiny shorts! gorgeous with the nude heels and they are so feminine and the gorgeous sheer blouse! to me the necklace is the finishing touch! the weather has been crazy here too, it is like 60°F right now in Belgium! PS please do more outfit posts, you are so good at it ;;;))))! i am just wishing

ReplyDeleteYou look adorable! I gave up on shorts ages ago even though I live on the surface of the sun....I mean, in Georgia. Even when I was thinner, I had the worst time with them riding up. I'd be so uncomfortable. If you have any tricks for that, I'd be happy to give shorts another try.

Amen!!!! I am SO scared of shorts but have had words with myself all week as I prepare for a holiday to Italy with lots of friends for a big old wedding. Coincidentally, these ASOS Curve shorts are the very pair in my packing pile right now along with some loose spotty H&M ones. I'm nervous but I'm going to do it!! Love seeing denim shorts dressed up a little. I live in Australia, where it's pretty hot most of the time (winter atm) and trying to stay glam in denim shorts while sweating your bum off is a little difficult but am definitely going to use this as inspiration for my summer wardrobe this year...
