I might be all into head-to-toe black and Beetlejuice and Wednesday Addams and early 90s revival one day, but let's be real, the majority of my personality is still really, really twee. I can't really help that I love, and I mean really freaking love being a girl. I've written about this in the past, but intentional, conscious, femininity is something that I have an enormous passion about - and a lot of fun with. So lace, peter pan collars, little embellished details, lipstick... Well, let's just say I have a hard time resisting. Yes, even in the hot, sweltering summer, I make room in my wardrobe for lace details -- I just ditch the requisite undershirt.

ReplyDeleteI come back to this blog again and again because I love your intentional approach to femininity. As a feminist who loves fashion, it's refreshing and delightful to read someone who can balance the traditional aspects of femininity with a deeper knowledge of gender and society. Also, love the shoes.
