Okay, confession time. I recently worked on a little project for QVC's new show Inspired Style (my segment is airing soon, which of course I'll be sharing here), and until they reached out to me - I never, ever knew that QVC actually had cute fashion options. I had always thought of QVC as a network that sold Christmas sweaters and As Seen on TV products, which maybe has more to do with my lack of TV-watching more than anything, but I didn't expect to visit their site and find so many things I actually wanted. So when they reached back out to me again with a look book for their Fashion's Night Out event (with new collaborations from Nicole Richie, Jennifer Hudson, and special one-off pieces for FNO from Isaac Mizrahi Live, Kenneth Jay Lane, and more,) I asked to borrow some pieces for fashion week. Full transparency here, folks: sometimes I borrow clothes for events. It's real.
Their site can definitely be overwhelming (I mean, there aren't many places where you can buy both a Dyson vacuum or Tarte cheek stain in one fell swoop), but there are tons of cute pieces; I'm kind of dying over Rachel Zoe and Nicole Richie's lines -- and I know I'm starting to sound like an advertisement, but no - they didn't pay me to write this. They did, however, let me curate a little shop based on my look! How cool is that? Okay, now I'm going to lose myself somewhere between the jewelry and clothing sections, again...
I was particularly in love with a daring cobalt blue cashmere dress (made by Isaac Mizrahi, whom you may remember I'm deeply in love with). Also, not to be vain, but ever since I dyed my hair red - bright jewel tones look kind of amazing on me. (I'm kidding.) (Not really; they do look amazing.)

All clothes were borrowed from QVC for FNO!
So... now that it's finally Thursday and FNO is here, what are your plans?? Are you going out to celebrate, or staying in and taking advantage of online deals?

Oh lordy that cobalt blue is incredible!
ReplyDeleteTotally with you on the red hair/jewel tones situation too.

You're style only gets better! Jewel tones definitely look great on you. I like the blue and yellow combo, as well. I'm snatching that look. As for FNO, I think I am heading out to the stores in Boston, unless I'm too tired. Lame? Yea, I know.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know QVC has cute clothes either! Love that bag. I'll be going out for FNO!

Okay, jewel tones do look amazing on you. Not to fuel your vanity, but the hair, the colors, the nose ring, oh my! Werk, Ms. N! For FNO, a friend and I headed into SF to check out the events. We had ourselves a mighty good time, indeed!
ReplyDeleteI am very interested in all this QVC blogger collaboration! And you are right that color does look amaze balls with your hair - rock it girl! Xx - Catherine
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the qvc opportunity! I just started following qvc on instagram and I was surprised at how stylish and fashion as an art their shots have been. Can't wait to see your segment. Btw, I agree, the red hair & jewel tones look awesome on you. I had my hair a similar color about five years ago and I found kelly green looked so great on me at that time. When I went back to my natural (muddy brown), I was a bit disappointed all the kelly green cardis I had accumulated didn't look quite as striking any more.
ReplyDeleteYou are definitely winning with all of the bold jewel tones. Love!
ReplyDeleteI do love your hair and outfit...:)
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous!! That blue with the pop of yellow is so fun! And it looks fantastic with your hair!!
