Nicolette Mason is a mid-20-something Los Angeles native living and working in New York City. As a freelance writer, editor, designer and art director, her Williamsburg, Brooklyn based life offers her many exciting experiences - most of which are documented through her blog. As an exploration of her love for all things design, Nicolette launched her blog in 2008. The blog soon blossomed into the diary of her adventures in international travel, personal style, arts, cuisine and her burgeoning career in fashion writing. Nicolette prides herself on creating an environment filled with beauty; while her blog does provide readers with optimal eye-candy, from her cherished glittery heels to French macarons, it's also an insightful chronicling of visual culture.
Nicolette is a contributing fashion editor and columnist at Marie Claire, as well as the host of the Big Girl in a Skinny World series on HelloStyle, a partnership between Hearst Publications and YouTube.. She has contributed to many publications, both online and in print, including Vogue Italia, Refinery29, Brooklyn Magazine, The L Magazine, Stylecaster, Glamour Magazine Italy, and more. In the summer of 2011, she was approached by Marie Claire to be the new face of their "Big Girl in a Skinny World" column. She has also worked with and/or consulted with many of the worlds top fashion and lifestyle companies, including Chanel, Interscope Records, Arcadia Group, Christian Dior, Josie Natori, Rafaella, Wilson's Leather, StyleMint, and Unilever.
Current projects include a fashion-centric short-film with celebrated photographer and director Cathrine Westergaard, and the launch of her accessories and lifestyle line, PREYFORDAWN, co-founded with illustrator Devin McGrath.
