Seeing Green

A little bit of personal, professional history: did you know that Modcloth was one of the first brands I ever collaborated with in a big way? I had been a fan of the brand for years because of their commitment to womens empowerment and body positivity (they were one of the first brands to embrace the idea of inclusivity in fashion and include diverse casting across the board). And in 2014, I collaborated with the brand on my first collection, working closely with their design team to create pieces together that spoke to my personal style and to my personal ethos that fashion can, and should, be a source of empowerment regardless of what a person's body looks like. My style has evolved a lot since then, but that mindset and commitment to broadening inclusivity in fashion hasn't - and it's something that has been consistent for ModCloth's growth, too, with many of their designs and collaborations ranging from an XS-4X.Recently I've been going through a major period of fashion experimentation - I think it's become especially heightened now that I have my own brand (Premme) and am constantly looking for inspiration, to broaden my own horizons, and to design for people with styles and aesthetics different than my own. I've also been expanding my color palette recently, and it's been so exciting and fun to wear colors that I've never really worn before. While I'll always love my monochromatic black and white looks and my pops of pink, I've been loving warmer and earthier tones lately, too - and totally fell in love with this romantic emerald dress from Modcloth's fall assortment. It's definitely not casual, but it's so romantic, ethereal, and catches light in the most beautiful way. It's also available in sizes XXS-4X which I love and so deeply appreciate. (PS, their new collaboration with Anna Sui, one of my favorite designers ever, is also available in sizes 0-24).My style doesn't often veer towards "romantic," but wearing this dress and seeing Modcloth's collaboration with Anna Sui left me feeling inspired. I rounded up some of my favorite romantic styles for you all below![show_shopthepost_widget id="3339531"]
